About The Event
Burrowing owls in Florida are a threatened species. Brittany Piersma, an Audubon Western Everglades Field Biologist, will discuss long term data and background on the increasing threats they are facing. She will also include information on starter burrows in front yards of willing Collier County homeowners. Whether or not we can sustain a population moving forward relies a lot on citizens' involvement. This speaker is brought to us by the environment subcommittee.
