The Great Hymns of Our Faith: Organ and Piano Concert

Dr. Alexandra Carlson (piano) and Dr. Becky Weese-Rumpf (organ) will present a delightful performance of

organ and piano solos and duets inspired by the beloved Hymns of Our Faith. Adding to the occasion, Askar

Salimdjanov, a distinguished violinist from the Naples Philharmonic, and Dr. Byan Ijames, soloist, will also

perform, enriching the program with their exceptional talent. This concert not only promises to celebrate the

cherished hymns that resonate with so many, but it will also honor Dr. Becky’s 65th birthday, making it a truly

memorable and joyous event.

Our Schantz organ, with its 3,359 pipes, was designed, crafted, and voiced for our sacred space, but it is not

just an iconic backdrop. Our organ is an integral part of our worship and brings forth the glory of God Sunday

after Sunday. Though our organ is an acoustical instrument, it possesses numerous electrical components that

are in critical need of updating. A special offering titled “Happy 65th Birthday Becky” will be collected on the

evening of the concert which will fund the necessary parts to ensure our organ’s preservation and longevity.
