BECOMING A MEMBER

At Naples United Church of Christ, we are intentionally invitational in our desire to welcome all into the membership life of the church. We regularly host Informational Meet & Greets where you can meet our ministers and ask any questions you may have. We also provide new member orientation sessions, including a guided tour of our campus, and host a series of potluck dinners designed to help new members build relationships and feel at home. Requesting membership?

To join Naples United Church of Christ, contact Samantha, our Membership Coordinator. She will meet with you to discuss the joining ceremony, which takes place during worship, and set a date. If you are a member of another church, she can arrange to transfer your membership.

The Reception of New Members.

At Naples United Church of Christ, you officially become a member through a meaningful ceremony during worship. In this moment, you make a promise to be an active part of our congregation, and we, in turn, promise to welcome, support, and walk alongside you. Together, we commit to being a community that seeks to live in the way Jesus taught and as the Spirit inspire. For our youth, the process is similar but they also have the option for confirmation. Naples UCC describes itself as "Open and Affirming". What does that mean?

As an Open and Affirming church, Naples UCC includes and supports everyone—and we do mean everyone! When it comes to age, faith background, politics, ethnicity, sexuality, and socio-economic status—we believe that more unites us together in Christ than does divide. At Naples UCC, we do not all believe alike, but we do love alike.

How would you describe Naples UCC's theology

At Naples UCC, we embrace individual spiritual freedom rather than following a specific dogma or creed. We believe faith is a journey, and we grow together through learning and shared experiences. Our theology is inclusive and rooted in grace, reflecting the good news and hope we find in God's love.

How can I become a member of NUCC if I am already a member of a

church up north?

We offer two types of membership at NUCC, Full & Associate. Associate membership has the same rights as full; however, you are also able to retain your northern church membership

How do I get involved with various volunteer opportunities and do I have to be a

member to get involved?

No, you do not have to be a member of NUCC to volunteer. Simply just sign up at the sign-up table in the Gathering Place on Sundays or call the church office at (239) 261-5469.
